FAQ

We investigate and identify lost, forgotten, and abandoned property as well as dormant and unclaimed assets. Once we locate such properties we immediately locate the legal owners, and represent them in the recovery process and are regulated by the State of Florida.
Dormant assets often belong to people who have passed away. Situations such as divorce, death, relocation, job loss, and business hardship are common reasons assets become dormant, lost, or ignored. It is possible that a relative had investments, insurance policies, or bank accounts that you did not know about at the time of their death because it is not uncommon for financial matter to be overlooked during a time of stress.
We will never ask for any payment of any kind up front, nor do we ask for any personal, or banking, information not relevant to your claim. All costs incurred by us in locating assets along with administrative, miscellaneous and required legal fees, are borne by us. We are paid a small percentage of the total recovered asset amount. Our small fees are regulated and in full accordance with Florida state laws.
Each case is unique. Fees are determined by what is required to document ownership, the risk we take relative to the amount we must spend to prove ownership, and the anticipated difficulty in recovering the assets on your behalf. Service fees are fully disclosed in advance.
No fees are charged up front, ever. Nor are there ANY hidden fees. We will pay for the entire recovery process upfront and receive reimbursement when we successfully claim your funds for you.
Once we successfully claim your asset, the State of Florida will directly mail you a check for your lost funds, less our fee. (The fee is always agreed upon before the recovery process begins).
Claiming your asset is a process that requires expertise, time, attention, and upfront costs such as legal fees. People hire us for different reasons. We work with people whose lives are busy, and individuals who want to reduce risk and increase their odds of success, all while speeding up payment. All our clients find our services to be valuable.
Once your claim has been submitted, please allow 90 days for processing. After that time, if you still have not received a check or any information, please contact us via Email on the Contact page, and we will research and return an email to you in a timely fashion.
Per Florida Statute 717, if a company owes another company or individual money, they are required to place this money into the State in an Escrow Fund. These companies can face stiff fines and penalties if this is not adhered to. The company is required to make an attempt to contact you, and either the check was not cashed, returned, or no contact was made. Because of this, the money is turned over to the State.
That will depend on your experience, time availability, and the difficulty of proving your right of ownership. Government data shows that a huge amount of claims are rejected for failure to provide proof of ownership which we specialize in finding. Fund holders require irrefutable evidence to avoid lawsuits. Due to our resources, technology, and experience, we have a 90+ percent approval rate.
Your check will come directly from the State of Florida. However, it could also come from an attorney’s trust account, or our trust account. Circumstances of your claim will determine how distribution occurs.
Your effort will require for you to simply review, complete, and mail back a few documents. No more than 10 minutes of your time will be required to do this. Once the completed documents are received, our staff will handle all the research, all the probate proceedings (when required), verify that the claim is not fraudulent, and complete all the numerous tedious details necessary to get you paid as soon as possible.
In the unlikely event that we can’t claim your asset, the lost funds will remain with the State of Florida and you will be able to file a claim as many times as you want. Again, we absorb the cost of all document’s and procedures that are involved with your claim.

Drivers License - (with the extension sticker on the back if this applies)

Military ID - Please make copy of both front and back
All forms of Picture ID must be valid, and not past Expiration Date

Florida law states that each claimant must produce proof of their identity.
If your name has been changed due to Divorce, Marriage or any other means, please provide a copy of the legal documentation changing your name (IE. Marriage Certificate, Divorce Certificate, Legal name change Paperwork Etc)
Imagine a situation like this... Your name is John Smith. There are thousands and thousands of John Smiths in the world, however each holds a different identity. We have to show to the State that you are the correct John Smith owed these funds. We do not want for your funds to be turned over to another person with your same name, or someone who says they are you.
